About Us
Today, food choices aren’t just personal—they’re shaped by media, ads, and trends.
From flashy packaging to viral food trends, we’re surrounded by information that shapes what we eat. But not all of it is honest, helpful, or easy to understand.
The Food Message Project was created to help people of all ages understand how food marketing works, how to read nutrition labels, and how to make smarter, more confident food choices. I started this project because I wanted to explore something that really affects people every day.
The more I learned, the more I realized that food literacy isn’t just about nutrition—it’s about power. When you understand how food messaging works, you’re not just consuming food. You’re making intentional choices.
This project is here to help you do that.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to make food media literacy accessible and relatable by breaking down complex topics and empowering people to think critically about the food messages they see every day.
